“I chose the field of Pediatrics because I have always loved working with children. Growing up in a family with allergies, I learned first-hand that symptoms could be treated and prevented effectively, significantly impacting one’s life. My passion is providing care and management of asthma. This is life changing for the child and their family.”

This is an exciting time within the field of allergy and asthma, as more and more treatment modalities continue to become available that address the underlying pathology rather than to just treat symptoms.

My practice philosophy of care is patient centered and evidence based. I focus on providing patients and their families with knowledge and tools to understand and manage their disease, empowering them to be in control of their condition, prevent symptoms, optimizing their quality of life and allowing full participation in activities. I work with the patient and family as a team, while individualizing care with a dynamic plan, always aiming to significantly improve and enhance their wellbeing.”

Dr. Maier enjoys spending time with her family, exploring the beautiful PNW by sailing, kayaking and hiking, working in her garden and cooking.
