“My favorite part of pediatrics is the continuity of care. It is such a joy to watch my patients grow from infants to young adults. From first steps through graduation, I enjoy being a part of every milestone. I strongly believe that the care of a child includes care of the family as a whole. I encourage collaboration with my patients and their parents. I strive to provide excellent, evidence-based medicine through education and preventative care. Most importantly, I want my families to feel heard and supported at every visit.”

Dr. McLain supports vaccinations for all children. Her patients should anticipate that vaccinations will be discussed at all well child examinations and vaccinations will be offered at all appointments to children who are due for vaccines. Dr. McLain promotes and follows the CDCā€™s (Center for Disease Control) Immunization schedule.

In her free time, Dr. McLain loves to hike and enjoy the outdoors with her husband, daughters, and golden retriever. When not outdoors, she enjoys reading and cooking. She is an avid baseball fan and loves going to games and cheering on the Tacoma Rainiers.
